HOW SHOULD JOB HUNTERS DRESS AT JOB INTERVIEWS?
In my book "JOB HUNTING MADE EASY," explain job seekers must "blend in" when dressing for a job interview. This means finding out how managers dress — and then dressing just like them.
For instance, if male managers tend to wear blue suits, white shirts, & striped rep ties, then that is what the male job hunter should wear. If the job seeker discovers people dress 'business casual,' that is how the job hunter should dress for job interview.
Job hunters also should realize it is better to dress too formally than to dress too informally. Dressing too formally is a sign the job seeker is respectful. But, job hunters who dress too informally show a lack of concern for how they come across to hiring managers.
After all, the job interviewer and hiring manager need to see if the job seeker might “fit in” or not into the corporate culture, which includes wearing the company's typical attire.
Job hunter who are not sure how to dress, can simply drive to the company at the end of a workday, and observe how employees dress as you see them leaving the company's office or facility. It's that easy for job hunters!
